Municipal Law

Southpointe attorneys have represented municipal entities in all aspects of public work.  Southpointe attorneys serve as consultants to various municipalities on labor and employment matters.  The attorneys routinely represent municipalities as either consultants or solicitors with regards to land use and zoning matters, land development, acquisition and general municipal day-to-day operations.  In particular, the office has represented local municipal authorities with regard to several multi-million dollar construction projects.  This representation has included recommendations concerning day-to-day operations, advice on various environmental, financing and planned acquisition issues.  Additionally, due to a variety of issues raised by these projects, we have also been involved in negotiations with Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

Consumer Law

Southpointe attorneys have represented businesses who are the subject of inquiry by the government entities, including various state Attorneys General, relating to the sale and lease of products and services.  Southpointe attorneys have handled government investigations involving false and deceptive advertisements, telemarketing, “Do-Not-Call,” home improvements and alleged violations of the Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law as well as laws enforced by the Federal Trade Commission.
